I wish I had been exposed to the magic of oxide earlier in my recording life!  What I love most about tape is the super-textured sound.  Drums be SO fat.  I don't think I'll ever record drums digitally again.  Different tracks blend so friendly.  All thanks to my new world-rompin, roommate Robert Gilliam.   Now I just need me some 2" sheeit.  I have lots to learn, but this discovery offered some explanation on how to attain THAT sound I have always loved.
